    Asset on NAS with fedora

Is there a possibility to run asset under fedora?
The last thread is of 2015 and it was said no, but maybe there is a chance in the meanwhile?

Re: Asset on NAS with fedora

As of the current releases, it should work. You're welcome to grab a trial version and check for yourself - I don't personally test on every major Linux distro out there, but current generic Asset x86/x64 builds run correctly on busybox (QNAP) so anything more advanced than that should work just fine.

If it does not, please give us a shout and state the exact Linux version/architecture that it would not run on.

      Thank you for your answer!
I tried it again but without success. Both Debian builds (x86/x64) deliver the following:

-bash: ./AssetUPnP: cannot execute binary file

      The system is:

      -bash-3.2$ uname -a
      Linux axentraserver.localdomain 2.6.31.8 *108 Wed Feb 19 17:12:47 EST 2014 armv5tel armv5tel armv5tel GNU/Linux

Re: Asset on NAS with fedora

I'm afraid that it's not the Linux distro that's preventing Asset from running - we simply do not support this CPU type (ARMv5). We do support higher ARM models in Raspberry Pi versions of Asset - ARMv7 - but not ARMv5.
