i dont understand relative path for playlist on OS X!

    Hello,

I don't understand how i can read my playlists, i don't understand the relative path...

I've created my playlists on Itunes and converted with "playlist export" in m3u on OS X.

I show you a exemple of config, i hope can you help me!

    In Asset Upnp:
    /Volumes/Media/Musique/iTunes Media/Music - Audio Tracks
    /Volumes/Media/Musique/iTunes Media/Music/Playlist_Asset - Playlists

    In a playlist
    *EXTM3U
*EXTINF:380416,Vijay Iyer Trio - Mystery Woman
    /Volumes/Media/Musique/iTunes Media/Music/Vijay Iyer Trio/Break Stuff/09 Mystery Woman.aiff

    And he doesn't work!

I read on your forum, the problem is a absolute path, and he need a relative path. Ok but what is the relative path here?

    Thank you!

The absolute path is the way to go and looks correct, perhaps enable the debug log in asset to see what happens when it tries to play.

When you browse 'Playlists' it should show your playlists, is it?

The log seems to cut off there, where it should list them.

If it is not showing, then the issue is not what is in the playlist, but the playlist location, it needs to be in:

          /Volumes/Media/Musique/iTunes Media/Music/Playlist_Asset

and have an extension of .m3u

No, my playlists doesn't appear on the naim app.

When i choose the playlist path with the application (/Volumes/Media/Musique/iTunes Media/Music/Playlist_Asset), the browser see the playlists. But... nothing on the naim app...

            the playlists extension is .m3u

            I'm under Yosemite

You have the registered version of Asset installed? it is required for playlists.

yes, i have the registered version, the playlist function is ok (last albums, top tracks,...) but not my own playlists!

iTunes exported playlists should be fine. Either relative or absolute paths should be recognized.

I've posted a new beta version of Asset-
Download https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-R511b2.dmg Changes since R5.1 Fixed bugs related to iTunes M3U playlist reading. Configuration dump feature has been split into "normal" and "complete", the latter not exporting huge album art cache file, as the resulting dumps were problematic to transfer.

Some bugs related to reading of iTunes playlists have been addressed, Unicode encoding of filenames was not handled correctly.

If the issues persist with the new beta version, please export a configuration dump (Settings / General / Save configuration snapshot: normal ) and email it to peter@dbpoweramp.com for analysis, I'll do my best to find out why Asset isn't seeing your playlist files.
