    Server for JPLAYStreamer

I'd like to set up JPLAYStreamer on an optimized Windows 2012R2 Server. JPLAY recommends Minimserver with Kazoo http://jplay.eu/manual/.

However, I'd like to have a UPnP server with the smallest possible footprint (Minimserver requires Java runtime), as the 2012R2 server will be run in core mode (no GUI). Kazoo would control from another Windows machine. Will Asset fill the bill?

    Thanks.

The installer is a GUI application, so installing asset will be a no go.

I use AudioPhil's Optimizer which allows me to switch to GUI mode if necessary for installs, but ultimately would want to run in core mode.

Can you recommend a basic UPnP DLNA server that just decodes and streams, small footprint, no GUI required?

The Gui is only needed to install, Asset should do as you require.

I to would like to use Asset in a similar way. I'm using windows 2016 in core mode and i'm having troubles starting Minimserver. So I'm planing to move to Asset. As far as I can understand Asset doesn't need Java to run, so will it auto start on windows lunch? Is it a 32 bit or 64 bit program?
Can it play all common audio formats, specially high resolution wac, flac and DSD?
Thanks in advance for any input.

          Miguel

It is a 32 bit program. It does not play audio formats, it streams them to a player.

It does, it runs in the service account.
