    Asset configuration desktop shortcut

    Hi Spoon,

I have just purchased and installed the Premium version of Asset UPnP for Windows 10. Downloaded and ran the .exe which de-installed the working version and restarted the machine. All working perfectly EXCEPT the desktop link to AssetUPnP Configuration shortcut. A message appears that the shortcut has been changed or moved and it asks me if I want to delete it.

    Please help

    Thanks

    Andy

You must have installed to a different location, assets installer would not create an icon on the desktop, you will find it in the start menu (type asset and it will appear.)

      Hi Spoon,

I didn't change the default location.

I'm afraid there is no start menu as such in Win 10. (oh for Windows 7!)

left clicking the leftmost taskbar icon gives all available programs. Under Asset there is only Asset help listed

right clicking gives search and run, control panel etc. if I type 'asset' under command prompt it does not understand it unless I move to the C:\Users\Andy\Desktop directory - then it gives the 'missing shortcut' error . (The shortcut is to a Microsoft autogenerated (D14819F6-5147-7CAB)

      please explain further.

      Thanks

      Andy

Reinstall Asset, then click the left most start button and whilst the menu is showing type:

        asset

this will list everything asset related in the menu.

Thank you Spoon - that worked.
