Asset server on QNAP doesn't play 24/192 files.

    Hello,

I just installed Asset 5 on my QNAP TS-119P NAS.
It does not play 24 bit 192 kHz flacs however, although the DAC supports it.
Does it only support files up to 24/96, or am I missing something in the configuration page?

BTW I'm very happy with the radio stations, which can be directly streamed to my Hegel H160 renderer.

FLAC files are normally sent 'as is' so it is likely the player is not able to decode the 24 bit flac file. You can try setting Asset to send the file 'as wav' and let asset decode it.

      Thank you Spoon.
I changed the FLAC output to WAV in Asset server and all my tracks are playing fine.

Still I don't understand why MinimServer (installed on the same QNAP) can play all my FLACS out of the box not changing any output file types, while Asset server output has te be set to WAV.
Besides the inetgrated Hegel H160 media player and DAC support WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 and Ogg, as well as resolutions up to 24/192.
