Hi Asset UPnP Team,
I am a new user of Asset UPnP on a QNAP NAS running the QuTS hero operating system.
Currently, the Asset UPnP QPKG package does not have a valid digital signature. Because of this, QuTS hero completely blocks the application from installing or running by default.
To use Asset UPnP, I am forced to globally change my NAS security settings to "Allow installation and execution of applications without a digital signature". This degrades the security of my entire NAS just to run one application, as it opens the door for other unsigned or potentially malicious third-party software.
Could the development team please consider digitally signing the QNAP QPKG packages in future releases? Having an official signature would allow me to keep my NAS system secure while continuing to enjoy Asset UPnP.
Thank you for your time and for a great software product.
Best regards.
