Asset UPnP stopped showing up on network after mac upgrade

I've been using Asset as the server to play music on my stereo via the Yamaha musicCast app for many years. I upgraded to a newer mac mini and now the musicCast app does not see Asset as a server option (it still sees my AVR however). Asset appears to be running fine on the mac and I even deleted it and installed the latest version. Is there something that I need to do to make the server visible with the new mac or new OS?

nevermind, I figured it out right after posting but I'll leave it up to help others.

Needed to do the following
Settings-> Privacy & Security -> Local Network

then toggle asset to on

now working.
