External Samsung SSD 2TB connected to my USB port on my Naim NSC 222

I have an external Samsung SSD 2TB connected to my USB port on my Naim NSC 222, but how do I get Asset to see it?

What device is running Asset and how does the NSC 222 share its attached storage over the network?

It's generally better to have the storage attached to the server (running Asset) to reduce network traffic; with storage attached to the Naim each track would cross the network twice (Naim would pull from Asset which would pull from storage attached to Naim)

I am using my Macbook Pro - macOS Sequoia version 15.5.

So you are saying that it is better to have my music stored on the Macbook pro?

In UPnP the track is served over http by the media server, so there really is no benefit to having it on the Naim. Having the tracks on the same machine as the server will speed up indexing, reduce network traffic and make it easier to maintain (update and backup).
