    Playlists - Cannot see them

    Hello,

I have created a playlist folder as per:

Click image for larger version Name:	image.png Views:	0 Size:	11.9 KB ID:	331713

There are m3u playlists in the folder but I cannot find them on Asset using a Naim control point. I am looking in the folder view on Asset.

    Help appreciated.

OK now that I have looked at the Playlist 'tab' (not sure of correct term) on Asset I can see them. This one can be closed :-) and deleted unless thought to be useful for someone else.

I've been trying to understand how to set up playlists in Asset, but none the wiser, I've read and reread the instructions and the example given, quite disheartened by the 'it really is that simple', cannot for the life of me work out how to do this. In idiot's (video guide) would be helpful - anyone? I'm using Mac OS and an iphone in case that makes a difference. Thanks

In its simplest form a playlist is a just a text file that contains the locations to one or more media files. You could use absolute paths but it's more flexible to use relative.

The example below contains 3 playlists that use absolute and relative paths (for demonstation) stored throughout the library. AssetUPnP requires playlists to reside under a single folder so you'll want to follow the 'Favourite Songs.m3u8' example.

        Code:
        C:\Music
           ├──Artist1
           │ ├────Album1
           │ │ ├──── 01.01.flac
           │ │ ├──── 01.02.flac
           │ │ └──── Album1.m3u8
           │ │ ┌ 01.01.flac ┐
           │ │ └ C:\Music\Artist1\Album1\01.02.flac ┘
           │ ├────Album2
           │ │ ├──── 01.01.flac
           │ │ └──── 01.02.flac
           │ ├────Album3
           │ │ ├──── 01.01.flac
           │ │ └──── 01.02.flac
           │ └────Best Of Artist1.m3u8
           │ ┌ Album1\01.01.flac ┐
           │ │ Album2\01.02.flac │
           │ └ C:\Music\Artist1\Album3\01.02.flac ┘
           ├──Artist2
           │ ├────Album1
           │ │ ├──── 01.01.flac
           │ │ └──── 01.02.flac
           │ ├────Album2
           │ │ ├──── 01.01.flac
           │ │ └──── 01.02.flac
           └──Playlists
              └──── Favourite Songs.m3u8
                       ┌ ..\Artist1\01.01.flac ┐
                       └ C:\Music\Artist2\Album2\01.02.flac ┘
NOTE: .. means to go up a level e.g. from C:\Music\Playlists to C:\Music\
