Conflicting instructions for installing registered Asset following trial?

I'm confused. I have a trial version of Asset installed on a Mac Mini, I've just bought the registered version.

The sticky note from 31 July 2024 says do NOT uninstall trial Asset for MAC/NAS.

The documentation link (below install download) states... if upgrading from trial to registered, uninstall...

Which is it please? I've probably not understood the instructions, but I've reread several times and cannot decide what to do, thank you.

Install over the top replacing the existing when asked to replace.
