After upgrading to a new iMac Asset can't read external SSDs

I'm trying to help a friend migrating to a new iMac running the latest update of Sequoia. We've tried to access music on two different SSDs and get these error messages.

You would have to ensure that Asset has read permissions for the volume and you can browse that exact path using finder.
