    Disappearing album

I use Asset 5.1 and Linn Kazoo, and everything has been working fine. However, yesterday I wanted to play an album and selected it from the Album Artist page, went to the album to play it, and a message returned "No results returned. Have you added your music to your media server?"

My first reaction was "well of course I have! It's been there for years, and I haven't touched it!"

It seems to have affected only one album by Julian Joseph, so I can only assume this file is corrupted in some way or my system doesn't really like jazz that much.

    Any ideas?

Try using a different control point, such as Kinsky as a test.

Julian Joseph album mentioned doesn't appear in either Kinsky or Chorus DSHD when using Asset. However I can see and play it when using Kazoo and Kazoo server (never thought I'd ever say that last bit!). It seems strange that it seems to be the only one affected.

If you browse >> Advanced Search >> File and Folder Browsing

you can locate this album in Asset?

I opened Advanced Search and "No results returned. Have you added your music to your media server?" was returned. So no I can't locate the album (or any albums) in Advanced Search

It is not possible for Advanced Search to be empty, unless something external to Asset is blocking the network.

Which security software do you have?

Only what came with the Zoneripper server (Windows Firewall with Advanced Security).

Keep trying to browse the advanced tree, if it occasionally works it suggests network issues

I went through the album meta data and the album in question does not have a release date embedded. I search Album artist by date. Restoring that brought it back, which would explain why it was only one album that I couldn't find. Now to try and pin down why other things aren't working properly.

Did you edit the default tree? if so then the advanced section might not work if changed.

Yes, I have modified it, so that would probably explain why it's not appearing. No biggie though as I don't use it.
