Artist Tag?

Hi all,

i have been using Asset for quite a while. What I have never got to the bottom of is (two pictures attached) shows asset which does not show the artist and "other" UPnP does. How do I get asset to show this?

Also, is there anyway of seeing most recently ripped cd's in asset?

Which control point are you using? which Asset version (on which platform)?

Cool. New albums is great in playlists (note to new comers, switch off alphabet order and it shows them in date order of rip...so cool.)

Using Asset 4.6 with Naim app and NDS (latest firmware/software). What is puzzling is "other " UPnP shows it ok which would suggest that Naim software is ok,mans maybe it's a setting in config of Asset?

As a test install the Kinsky App on your iPad, and browse to asset, to see how that album appears.

Please see attached. What is interesting is that I can see it correctly through Naim app on both Kinsky and "other" UPnP and yet not through Naim app through Asset?

What platform/OS is Asset running on? What is the "Other" UPnP? What platform/OS are the client apps (Naim and Kinsky) running on?

Please confirm the following, when browsing Asset with the kinsky app, all is ok, but with the Naim app, no artist is displaying?

It happens with other albums as well. Asset is running on MacMini OS X El Capitan. The "other" UPnP is Minimserver. All are running through the Mac Mini. The problem seems to be via Asset. As we can see from above attached files the "artist" is not showing with asset and is ok both with minim server and kinky, which would suggest a problem with Asset.

Any thoughts would prove most helpful.

All various/compilation albums which artists are listed with song/track.

All client apps are running on Mac Mini OS X El Capitan.

For these compilation albums, is the Compilation tag populated i.e. with a value = 1?

Also, apart from the Artist tag, do the tracks have Album Artist tag populated i.e. with a value = Various Artists?

What file format are these tracks?

Also, just checked and Logitech Media Server shows it ok as well.

In Asset UPnP Configuration >> Advanced Settings >> General Settings
make sure [artist] - [title] for Various Artist album tracks is ticked.

Yes seems that compilation tag are populated with a value =1
