It was local account before but when i just connected now it said service. I clicked on local account again. Perhaps it went to service when I clicked on the Asset icon that is empty?

It was in local account until just now. When I checked it just now it was in service, but then I've switched back to local account of course. Did going to the empty asset folder do this? Anyway it's always been in local mode.

Ah. I suspect this is the cause of the problem, when upgrading to Windows 10, Asset switched from local account to service.

Launch the Task Manager >> Details tab. How many instances of Asset-uPnP.exe are running? How many instances of uMediaLibrary.exe are running?

In File Explorer >> Network, how many Asset icons? Hopefully, there is now only one.

OK, good. What is happening now, in the Naim media player, can you select Asset UPnP?

Well, I have virus protection. Im not sure if I have a firewall, actually. And no, I cant select Asset. But this has something to do with there being two assets in task manager and only one umedia-exeÉ

No, you have not understood correctly. Running 2 instances of Asset-uPnP.exe and 1 instance of uMediaLibrary.exe is correct.

Before, when you had Asset Running Mode set to Service, there were probably MORE than 2 instances of Asset-uPnP.exe and 1 instance of uMediaLibrary.exe running, hence the 2 Asset icons appearing under Network. At least this has now been rectified.

The question now is why the Naim media player is unable to select/connect to Asset, hence the firewall references.

Thank you for explaining that. I will go to the Naim forum next. But I did go to Devices and Printers. My media player is there but it says it is not connected. I havent been able to add it, either, because it is not listed when I go to Device Manager.

Oh my God, after all this: I turned off my firewall and I have everything working! So, does this mean I have to keep it turned off. I am sure it was turned on before. Or do I change a setting or something and then turn it back on. I tried turning it back on and lost my connection again. Then when I turn it off, it comes back.
