I have similar issues on a Synology DS216SE but the Asset Install will not allow me to uninstall, Is there any guidance as to how to manually totally remove the December release from my Synology NAS? Thank you

This is being investigated on the specific threads dealing with synology.

this thread is about the windows version.

I have been using ESET INTERNET SECURITY security software for many years. I have been using Asset with a local account. I have never had any problems with this setting.

Open Windows Explorer and in the address bar type:

                %appdata%\dBpoweramp\uMediaLibrary-r8

Run asset, you will find files are created in that folder. On a restart look in that folder, it is not Asset which is deleting the files.

                  Thank you for your advice.
I'm not sure how to judge it based on your instructions.
Strangely enough, there are no issues today.
I've been using it for a few years now, but this latest version is noticeably unstable.

It just turns itself from Local account to service for no reason at all. I always leave it as recommended. Just configure it as Local account and library is back.
But 2023 version is much better.
