    OrangePI-Plus, Debian and Asset

    Configuration:

OrangePI-Plus under Debian with Asset. All music-data stored by SATA-SSD, which is connected via (onboard) SATA-USB-controller.

    Question:

Could this configuration a running system? User expiriences? Warnings? Advices?

Would be nice getting some replies. Thanks in advance!

You can try the trial version of asset to make sure it works for you.

      Re: OrangePI-Plus, Debian and Asset

      Hi Spoon,
thank you for advice. Now I have got the orangePi Plus and have tested both versions of "Asset for Debian" and "Asset for RaspberryPi". To make it short:

      Asset for Debian:
Doesn't work!! The binary file cannot be started. Message: "cannot execute"; "unknown file format". The orangePI-Debian-OS is based on Debian V 8. Perhaps "Asset for Debian" doesn't match this version? Later on I tried "Asset for Debian" on a Laptop with Debian-OS V 14.04.LTS without problems.

      Asset for RaspberryPI:
Could be installed successfully and works fine!!

        Everything works as expected.

The "Asset for Debian" packages that we provide are for Intel x86 and x86-64 architectures, not for ARM which the Raspberry Pi is based on.
