Asset stopped working on Synology NAS

    No limits, it could be that different folders have different permissions and asset cannot access those?

    Or the files might be an unsupported format? or the tracks have no ID Tags

      Hello, I am experiencing this issue also. I own a DS216SE.

      I had to re-install the DSM with an exisiting Asset Install in place. The Asset Install disappeared on installing DSM so I installed the current version of Asset having previously had installed version Asset-synology7-2024-09-23.

      It all looked to be working but when scanning, it would return a lower count of tracks and zero albums. It also continually tried to scan and my drives are permanently active.

      I thought the install might be corrupt, so I tried to install again but no improvement.

      I want to uninstall Asset but get the same issue when trying to access the option menu for the Asset install. The icon is missing and data is not returned for the app.

      I have had to disable the Asset instance.

      I have no way of uninstalling. I would like to revert to the previous version of Asset.

      Is there any way I can remove the app connecting via Windows as I cannot uninstall in DSM?

      I have read I could possibly connect and remove the Asset folder using SSH bit have no idea about how to go about this.

      Amy help would be appreciated.
