Can't see Asset running on PC from the PC control point

I usually run Asset R2024-09-23 on my QNAP and can stream music to my Linn DS system from a control point on either my laptop, desktop or android tablet.

I'm exhibiting at the Maverik HiFi show Oct 27th & so have copied some music from my QNAP to my laptop & installed Asset on my laptop. However Asset does not show up as a server on my laptop control point (it does show on my desktop using the same control point software) or on my tablet so asset is clearly running.

I'm led to believe that this is an issue with Windows 10 & 11 not being able to see see a media server on the PC that is running the server.

Is there a solution or work around?

I've never heard that before. Upplay and VLC have always worked for me with a local AssetUPnP.
What control point are you using?

Check the firewall is not active

Interestingly, I can see asset from VLC

Firewall is active but both Asset & kazoo (control point) are allowed through

It's probably a Kazoo problem, or maybe a MS Store restriction.

I downloaded Kazoo but because I don't have a Linn system I'm not sure what it's showing me is complete, because it only listed MiniDLNA on my LAN and not my other server (and none running on my PC).

As a test disable the firewall.
