My Synology SA3600, DSM 7.2, is running the Asset package and it has no issues finding and indexing the audio media I want to play.
The Synology is connected to three independent LANs (distributed to different buildings) via three ethernet ports. (It has 4 x 1G copper and 2 x 10G copper as standard, and 2 x 10G fiber via add-on PCIe card.)
I can connect by IP address to the Asset configuration web page on each one of the three ports that I've got active, so at least that part is working for all active network ports.
Will Asset independently respond and connect through each of those LAN connections? Could I have control points on each network that direct streams to renderers sitting on the three separate networks? I'm not expecting a control point on one network to direct streams onto another network. The networks will remain independent and traffic will not be permitted between them for reasons that are unique to my requirements and aren't relevant to these questions.
If Asset can only communicate on a single network connection at a time, how do you specify which connection it should be using?
Any insights on how multiple network connections are handled or configured for Asset on Synology would be welcome.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
--michael
