Raspberry Pi version slower after update?

Today, I upgraded both my Raspberry Pi 4 and my Windows Homeserver from the 2023 version to the current 2024. I configure both of them to the exact same settings like their previous versions and did a full rescan.

Now, browsing on the RPi is way slower than it was before. We’re talking real wait times! At times, browsing even seems to crash Asset: For example, when I browse into an artist and then choose “all tracks“ and the list of tracks is a bit longer, then Asset on the RPi loads for a longer time without displaying anything and then crashes. I can still access it on the Web GUI, but the communication with my various Control Points is lost.
On the windows machine, all titles - even lists of 200+ titles long - are displayed almost immediately.

Both machines have 8 GB of RAM. Of course, the windows processor with its 2.2 GHz AMD Turion Dual Core is more powerful, but the RPi with the previous 2023 version of Asset never has let me down on browsing speed.

music runs of a SSD on the RPi and from a normal harddrive on the HomeServer, a full indexing scan “clear database” was 3 times faster on the RPi - so I guess, processing power and writing speed for the database is pretty good on the RPi.
Any idea, what’s happening and how to correct it?

      Please try new beta version.

Likely culprit of the slowdown has been addressed. I'd like to know if it's all the way good now / better but not yet perfect / no change at all.
