I'm using the last v4 version released (doesn't see a point to update to v5 when i'm reading the feedback from others) on a W28KR2 server with 4 GB and a Ubuntu BubbleUPNP Server (2GB RAM) for simulating openhome renderer only to use IOS control point software from Linn or Lumin
Technically this works as expected. But with 37.000 songs the browsing and overall user experience is slow.
My environment is 1GB wired (except IOS of course). I could able to shift memory/CPU of the servers as they are all virtualized.
But i need a starting point with this szenario.
Is it a CPU topic?
Is it a memory topic (Asset or BubblePNP)
Is it my WLAN?
Is it the control point software?
Is it by design (no please )
The music should be the No1 topic. If the IT stuff slows down the experience the fun isn't the same anymore........
