    can't access my music

I recently purchased a ND5XS. I downloaded the free trial of the dppoweramp, although I've now purchased it. When I ripped my first 20 or 30 cds, everything worked great and I was listening to music. But then I tried to get fancy and changed some settings in--gawd, somewhere, which led to losing all my music on my Naim app. So I uninstalled the dppoweramp and purchased it. My music is still on my computer--in music--but I can't get anything back on my Naim app to play it. Somehow the app isn't accessing my computer files. Any thoughts? As you might guess, I'm just learning my way around computer audio.

dBpoweramp only writes audio tracks, it would never delete existing audio tracks.

You would have a UPnP server which is sending the audio to the naim, we have our own 'Asset UPnP', clarify you are using this.

Yes, I have Asset UPnp. It came with the purchase from dbpoweramp. When I am go to Asset all the folders are empty.

Launch Asset UPnP Configuration. What does it say next to Status?

... also, what is the Asset Running Mode set to?

When I checked this just now I saw that asset running mode was on "Service" rather than "Local Account," so I changed this and restarted Asset just now. I now have two albums available, not my entire music collection. However, I also note that Functionality tab shows this icon is for my trail download even though I have now purchased dbpoweramp.

Try rebooting your computer, launch Asset UPnP Configuration and check:
                Functionality: should be Premium Registered.
Asset Running Mode: should be Local Account.

Next, click Refresh All and wait for Asset to scan your library.

What does Status say when Refresh All has completed?

                What is your computer OS?

I get this problem too, only, after installing Asset UPnP. Documented here (starts at post no. 9):

                    1) I rebooted. Functionality is still trial, not Premium registered. I clicked Refresh All. It says, "Rescanning Shortly (Refreshing Library)" I tried Refresh All in the last couple of days and it always states this no longer how long I wait.
                    2) In respect to the thread, it did not change to service on its own. I did it myself which led to all the problems I'm having.

If you have purchased dBpoweramp you would not have an asset registration as they are separate programs.

Where is your music stored? on a local hdd or network share (such as NAS)?

Did you install the registered version (AssetUPnP-Windows-reg.exe) or the trial version (AssetUPnP-Windows.exe)?

... i.e. have you paid for Asset UPnP Premium?

                          Sorry, my misunderstanding.

Spoon, I don't follow your meaning regarding not having an asset registration. I did initially download the free trial but have now purchased the premium package ($84.00 US) and installed it.
