    Rescan info

I have Asset UPnP installed on a Synology NAS. When I choose "Rescan folders detecting changes" I get a new page that displays a single line, "Scanning for changed files..." and no update beyond that. So I have to guess how long the rescan takes. Any way to get a real time status update for rescans?

    Thanks, Rick

What web browser are you using?
The status page should automatically refresh itself every 5 seconds. Perhaps your web browser, or some content blocker extension is blocking the automatic refresh (HTML meta refresh) we're using. Reloading it manually should show scan progress.

Thanks for weighing in. I've been using Chrome, and just now checked with Firefox and Brave. Same (non) result for all three . . . even with a manual refresh. Not sure an extension is causing the problem since Brave has no extensions installed (and Chrome & FF only have one in common). Not seeing anything obvious on the Synology side that would block a browser auto refresh (DSM 7.2.1).

Okay, not a web browser issue then.

What exact Asset UPnP version is this?

I recommend trying latest beta version, with improved indexing capabilities:
        Current version: R2024-11-05 (beta) Download links: Mac (https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-2024-11-05/Asset%20UPnP-2024-11-05.dmg) | QNAP (https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-2024-11-05/Asset_20241105b.qpkg) | Synology (https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-2024-11-05/Asset-R2024-11-05b-DSM7.spk) | Linux x86 32-bit

If it still gets stuck indexing, please go to troubleshooting page, enable debug logging and post library logs generated while it's stuck not showing progress.
If they're too large for the forum, email to peter@dbpoweramp.com
        Thanks.

Installed the Beta and the auto browser refresh worked!

BTW, beta was installed over version from a file labeled "Asset-synology7-2023-06-06===AE0BF68A.spk" (I forgot to look at the version number listed in the web interface before I installed the beta over it).

          Thanks for your help.
