AssetUPNP scan on QNAP TS-453Pro can't see Music folder

I have downloaded the R14.5 version of Asset to test onto my QNAP TS-453Pro. When I try and scan my Music folder on the QNAP which is in DataVol1/Music nothing happens. I would expect some sort of counting up of files or a turning hour glass....

In configuration I have tried separately:

    /share/multimedia/
    /share/music/
    /DataVol1/Music/

..then clicked Apply, then Rescan all files.

    Please can you help.

These names you are using are the network shared paths, you cannot use these for programs running on the qnap, instead the default path the program set should have been the correct one (it was set after install).

      Thanks Spoon for quick reply.

I have removed the app from the QNAP and then Installed it again manually as before. The watched media folders is now reset to /share/Multimedia/ and the number of trial days left is back to 30. OK so again nothing appears to be happening on the AssetUPNP:QNAP screen . So I have clicked on Rescan All...still nothing appears to be happening...
Am I missing something obvious I should be doing?

In QNAP Shared Folder Properties, the Disk Volume is DataVol1 and the Path: is /MUSIC
Within this folder I store music in folders according to format eg: FLAC, wma or M4A etc

            Please see:

If your qnap is configured so that the audio tracks are stored in a non-standard location, Asset will not automatically detect the music until it is told of the location of your audio tracks. You might access the audio tracks via a network share: /Data/Music however Asset cannot use this path as it is the external network

Re: AssetUPNP scan on QNAP TS-453Pro can't see Music folder

OK tried this with Chrome . On entering df I got a listing

I chose the largest line which was 8.1T of which 1.6T is used

              /dev/mapper/cachedev1 use 20% /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA

(now I am not sure what command line you meant is it "minus L" then no space before command line?)

              This is what I entered
              -l/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA
.....and this is the message returned
: No such file or directory

You further assistance would be appreciated...

I've just re-read your instructions and have corrected my command to

                ls -l /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA

this provides a list of folder names of which the one I keep my music in is MUSIC/

so I will enter this in Asset and try again.

                  Its working !

To be clear within Configure Asset in Watched Media Folders I entered
                  /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/MUSIC/

                  thanks Spoon.
