I have a similar problem:
The "free" (30 day trial) version downloaded and installed OK.
Then I downloaded the non-free version - a 5MB install file - using same order number for the Asset server I use on my PC (is that OK?)
When I try to unzip it
tar -zxvf *.gz
I get error messages:

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

What Next? Is it because I did get a message saying try again in three hours,
after I forgot to edit my own order number into the download instruction:

wget http://secure.dbpoweramp.com/downloa...rnum=123456789 -O asset.tar.gz

You perhaps have only part of the install, you would have to wait 3 hours and try again with the correct order number.
