Paid version shows up as Free - Limited

After just a few days using the trial version, I bought the premium version. On my QNAP App Center I removed the trial version and installed the Premium version. But the browser page still shows "Version: R4.4; Functionality: Free (Limited)"

    Have I done something wrong?

What is the exact name of the package file you installed?

This is for a QNAP HS-251. I just did another uninstall - reinstall just to be sure I installed what I meant to, and I still have the same issue.

You can browse the Internet Radio [Tunein] from your control point?

Sounds like the same issue I had here https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthr...on-QNAP-TS-131
Shutting down and restarting the QNAP after installing the paid version, brought up the correct version.

Yes this worked -- once I restarted the nas, it showed up as the paid version. Apparently, restarting is necessary.

Excellent - it had me stumped for a while too!
Now back to enjoying the music (and the Naim forum)

Perhaps it would be worth the vendors adding "restart your QNAP" to the end of the Asset installation Full Version instructions?

Re: Paid version shows up as Free - Limited

Having previously successfully updated to Premium 4.4, I couldn't access it after a restart on my QNAP. Following a reinstallation (Asset_x86_64-Premium.qpkg) and a further restart as suggested, it launches as 4.2 Beta despite showing as 4.4 on my QNAP, and doesn't show any content. Any advice/suggestions gratefully received.

Uninstall, then restart QNAP. Check it is gone, then install the new.

Done that but it still opens as Version 4.2. Beta. Search for Asset on QNAP Apps only shows 4.4

                          I grabbed and extracted file: Asset_x86_64-Premium.qpkg | size: 5401959 bytes | MD5: 31ae6f82d311efb760cb9a722ce1b45c
The contained version is R4.4 registered.

If you've uninstalled existing Asset version then installed this and are still seeing the old version, QNAP's installer system is doing something very strange that's probably beyond our control.

The real problem here is that we have no idea why restarting is needed in first place - and apparently not even that gets the job done in some cases.
QNAP QPKG installer is supposed to deliver the payload, updating an existing installation if necessary, without any extra requirements.
