Yamaha remote pause button not working

I'm using Asset UPnP 4.1 free version, on Windows XP SP3, with a Yamaha R-N500 network receiver. It works fine, except the pause button on the Yamaha remote does not pause playback. The buttons to skip forward and backward by a track work fine, also the stop button, but not pause. Is this a problem with Asset UPnP or with the Yamaha?

It will be the Yamaha most likely, because to pause the player has to simply stop requesting data, there is no pause function in UPnP.

It could be that the player cannot pause certain audio formats.

I updated the Yamaha firmware to 1.09 and the problem still existed. Then I updated Asset UPnP from version 4.1 to 4.3, and now the Pause button works fine. Not sure which fixed it, but all is good now.
