Are there general guidelines for tagging and metadata in flac files

I recently managed to get Asset UPnP working on my Unraid server, using the Debian package. Well another user did the hard work and provided help configuring and setting it up on the unraid forum. I linked my music share to Asset UPnP and found that many albums didn't appear in the library. Upon investigating further I learned that tags or metadata are missing in many files. So my questions are:

    1. Are there general tagging formats that should appear in a file, so it will be added to the library and it appears correctly.

    2. Are there utilities that can check many files for right tagging, and evt, fixing?

    3. I have several compilation albums, how should these be properly tagged? Same question for multi-disc albums.

My files come from various sources, Qubuz, HDtracks, friends and family. And I see many tracks that are from an unknown artist or album.

Every album has its own folder inside the Music share.

    1. Flac uses Vorbis comments
    2. I am unsure of any which can do it en-mass.
    3. The compilation tag should be set to 1
