    Hi Mr Spoon,
    I sorted it out ( and many more issues i didn't realise i had)using PerfectTunes De-dup.
May i say this is a superb suite of applications that compliment Asset and dBpoweramp. I can wholeheartedly recommend to all who don't want to spend too much time digging around to keep things nice and tidy.
well done and thanks again for the assistance
    regards

Also, where asset is configured, only 1 location is set to be scanned as the library?

Duplicated album tracks in Asset folder

    Good Morning all,
I am new to this forum so please forgive me if this has been covered.
I recently purchased a Qnap HS 251 with Asset premium on board per configured. It all works well and i am really happy with the Nas and Asset.
Could somebody please advise / help me with this strange issue as follows:

Last night amongst others, i ripped a CD with dBpoweramp as i have been doing for the last 12 months, it is a 2 disc " All the Little lights" by Passenger. dBpoweramp rips and points into a folder on the Nas\multimedia \ and it created a folder \ Passenger, as is normal. If i navigate to this folder on the Nas using the windows laptop , the 2 albums / discs show as normal with the correct number of tracks.
However, If i then go to my controller an Ipad using Naim nstream or click on the asset upnp icon on the PC and navigate to the passenger folder, both albums have 5 copies of each track in each disc folder.
This is the only CD this has occurred with, i ripped 6 other CD`s and all was normal. I have tried deleting the folder and re-ripping with exactly the same results even after re-scanning and emptying the recycle bin.
For the last 12 months , prior to migrating to the Qnap Nas, I have been using dBpoweramp and a windows 8x laptop running Asset premium pointing at a 2Tb Apple time capsule / router. I have never seen this issue before but i doubt it is a hardware issue.
Other than this one off anomaly I love the use and functionality of both dBpoweramp and Asset UpnP
    thanks
