Asset and Qnap mac OS X or windows

Hi I have a new qnap ts212 nas drive that I've not yet set up the operating system on. If I install the Mac osx operating system on the nap will I still be able to install Asset upnp directly on the nas or will this only work on the windows operating system?

You would not install OS X or Windows on the QNAP as they would not install.

For this qnap, you would install the ARM QNAP version of Asset.

Thanks for responding. Sorry but I used the wrong terminology. What I meant by operating system was "firmware". When doing the original nap set up I'm given the option of installing either windows, Mac or Linux firmware. If I install the Mac firmware, will the ARM quad version of asset still work?

There is only one Asset for QNAP ARM, it is the one you will use.
