    Gapless support?

    Hi,

Does Asset support streaming of gapless music?
    Thanks.

UPnP its self is not gapless, unless something like the Linn playlist extensions are used. Asset is gapless, the players are not.

Thanks. Gapless support across DLNA is simply awful. BubbleUpnp (on Android) claims to support it but I've tried with three DLNA servers, including Asset and it simply doesn't work. Google's own music player on their Android Nexus 5 device is unable to playback gapless music stored locally unless you switch their equalizer on. I think for now I'll stick to foobar2000 on a media PC with MonkeyMoteHD on the iPad as a controller and an old iPod Classic for when I'm on the move!

I was using Asset Control with uPlayer UPnP Renderer and it's not playing gapless. The source was Asset 4.3. Dark Side of the Moon is getting a 1 second pause between tracks (more annoying is Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it On HFPA which has the tracks broken at the wrong spots).

Is that combination supposed to be gapless?

        Thanks,
        Mike

The files you play are lossless?

Yes. All my files are FLAC.

It is likely an issue with uplayer, which is not currently in development.
