    Album art issues

    • Oppo BDP-93 streaming FLAC files.
    • Asset installed on Macbook Pro. Trial version.
    • Music stored on Unraid NAS and managed by Beets.
    • No embedded artwork.
    • "Folder.jpg" in each album directory. Typically 600x600px.
    • I'm browsing by Album Artist.

Music browses and plays without a single problem, but artwork never displays on the Oppo. So what am I missing? Is it an Asset configuration issue? Folder.jpg naming issue?

    Please advise.

You should try a different control point, try installing PlugPlayer if you have an iPad (or even iphone) and browse asset with that, see if art shows, you should be able to control the oppo with it as well.

Artwork shows up in Linn Kinsky, so I guess it's a limitation of the Oppo. Album art must be embedded, I surmise.

Perhaps, some players cannot display any album art from streamed files, only if they are plugged in on a usb stick.

Embedded artwork into a couple of sample albums and it displays properly on the Oppo. So I've only got another 2,066 albums to retroactively fix...

Use dBpoweramp, batch convert with ID Tag Update (a utility codec) and set to import Folder.jpg
