    Asset 4.2 on QNAP

    Hello,
I have installed Asset 4.2 Premium Registered on Qnap TS879U-RP two days ago.
All worked fine until yesterday, my tracks, album start loading very slow, I had to reboot asset.
After that all my settings from asset disappeared as well as all Watched media folders.
I had to do setup again and scan library whole library.
    Any ideas why this happened?

    The qnap is operating normally?

If you change a setting, then full restart the qnap, do the settings stay the same?

        Re: Asset 4.2 on QNAP

If you can SSH connect to the QNAP:

        cd /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Asset/bin/.dBpoweramp/

if an error shows here then this could be the issue. If no error:

        ls -l

Look at the filesizes as you add a folder to be watched it should grow. Then do a reboot and look in that folder again.

              If you can:

              cd /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Asset/bin/.dBpoweramp/uMediaLibrary-v2
              ls -l

Do this after adding a library folder to Asset Configuration.

Then reboot the QNAP, log into SSH and do the same again please (this time do not visit Asset Configuration).

We need a that folder listing after you add the library folder into Asset Configuration.

Then reboot the qnap, and do a 2nd listing of that folder please.

And you say after a reboot that library goes from the configuration, the file is MediaFoldersWatch.txt, so I need to see the ls -l after you reboot to see the status of this file.

The media folder showed up after reboot, so it works as it should this time.
What would be the cause of not showing up before?
                            Bad install, corruption?

It would be hard for something to corrupt MediaFoldersWatch.txt as it is simply a file with a path in it and only the configuration page writes to it and the scanner if no file exists it creates a default file.

It is puzzling. Keep an eye on that folder listing next time it goes wrong, check the file dates in there, they might point to that whole folder being removed by something.
