Best platform for Asset

What would be the best platform for running Asset server if I plan to use it for transcoding flac to wav for streaming to an Ipad. Windows 7, Windows Home Server or Qnap NAS?

Do I need strong CPU performance and lots of memory?

Try a Raspberry Pi first, it is very cheap ($40) and has enough power to do FLAC >> wave

The modern QNAPs have more power again.

I would rather integrate it in a server environment which has enough storage to hold my flac files, which the Raspberry Pi is not. I have a Qnap NAS but it is 32bit and you don't offer 32bit version. I don't intend to buy a 64 bit Qnap for asset. I'd rather saw an asset for unraid built.
