De-dupe same track listing in different formats ie FLAC / MP3

I've seen this come up a few times over the years, but don't see any motion on it. I was curious if with Asset nearing 4.2 land if there was any thought about de-duping listings between FLAC / MP3 et al?
Presumably same track name, with the same track number, under the same album / artist only needs to be displayed once.
