Asset doesn't extract embedded art

Hello,
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - but I couldn't find any such thread.

I'm running a purchased Asset 4.1 on Win XP, files are ALACs made with Max 0.9.1. Problem is Asset doesn't pick up the embedded album art. I try to always embed a 600-800 px jpg.

Looking at the files in iTunes or just previewing them shows the album art, so it is there. In my CPs (Kinsky, Chorus at al) however there is just a generic icon.

If I put a folder.jpg along with the ALACs and rescan everything is just fine, both total refresh and just detecting changes.

Have uninstalled Asset, removed settings, database etc and reinstalled but no difference.

Any ideas?

The art is perhaps embedded in a non-standard way, you can send along one file for investigation if you wish:

Hello,
Thanks for your help. I have e-mailed you an ALAC made the way I always have.
This didn't use to be a problem, and if I recall correctly it worked fine in Asset 3 (or perhaps even 4.0).

It is actually a bug in MAX (which has not been updated in 4 years...), the embedded art type should be indicated, it is not, I will post a new m4a decoder which works around this MAX issue.

Install R15 of dBpoweramp and you will get the updated codec:
