Share music over Internet

Hi,
I would like to share my music from my home machine so I can connect and listen to it using my laptop remotely when I travelling.
Can someone help me with some tips or article on how to configure Asset uPNP in order to achieve this?

UPnP cannot do this as discovery is for local networks only.

That was my thought too but I hoped there is another smart way to do that.

Can I use the Online Radio function or any other way I can share it over Internet?

I can connect to Asset and play music over the Internet using an iPad (using AirPlayer app) and Android smartphone (BubbleUPNP app with server installed on same PC as Assset - works over 4G smartphone network also). Only requires you open certain ports on any firewall at your home. I've never had a need to do so with an external PC though, and know I can't from my work as the work firewall won't allow communication over the required ports.

It my be possible to use Foobar though. It is free, so trying would not be costly.
