    M3u playlists

    Hi,
This may be covered somewhere, however I can't find it. I am using mediamonkey to create playlists, exporting them as m3u to my Nas, running v3 premium user ( not upgraded to v4, afraid that it might not get on with linns Kinsky.) anyway I just dumped a small playlist into the lossless file on my Nas. It shows up as being there when windows looks at the Nas, however when using Kinsky or songbooklite as control points I can't find the playlist anywhere so that I can call it up.
I know I probably haven't done everything correctly, so can someone please help me? Please...

    Regards

    Lyric.

In Asset configuration you need to go on advanced settings page and add the location of the playlist folder (top left, and set the type to playlists).

Then you can find under 'playlists' item when browsing.

      Re: M3u playlists

Im sorry spoon, Im lost, I got to advanced folder added a new folder, box popped up and I went to my computer and my documents, then "music" saw playlists and clicked on it, then ok. I restarted the asset server and waited to see would any of my control points find the m3u file and no luck. I know I originally saved the m3u in rs3server, in "lossless" but should it matter? Sorry I am just not getting it. Help please.

When you add the new folder, look along the link it says 'Contains: ' it needs to say 'Contains: Playlists'

Ok thanks, done that, still can't find it. I have looked in playlists, advanced search, folder file name. Album etc and I don't know how to access it. I am using, Kinsky, asset control and songbooklite, all with the same negative result. I must be stupid or something.....

It would appear in 'playlists', you would have to restart asset after changing the path option.

I have restarted several times and playlist folder just contains the set headings and no sign of my m3u playlist anywhere, I have even looked in advanced search, folders and file naames, the playlist from this view is not in the lossless folder, however when I look in Whs on shared folders in the losless file that asset uses, its clearly there. It is the same when using asset control, so I can only conclude that some setting in asset needs tweaked for the M3U file to be seen. What do you think? I thought this would be easy as I have wanted to store my playlists like this for a while now.:smile2:

All the playlists have to be in a single designated folder.

Hi, One of the playlists is in Music c:\users\user\music the other one is in the rs3 server ( where asset is loaded) \\RS3SERVER\music\lossless

I would really appreciate some guidance as this facility would be the icing on the cake for me, as I love making mix tapes and hate it when a power outage causes my control points to forget my playlists.
