Loosing some Tracks or all the tracks

    Hi All,

I have asset upnp 4 (registered) installed my WHS on a HP media server and streaming the music via upnp into a naimuniti (music renderer)
I am experiencing some times the following issues
    - some tracks are not available: I have about 5000 tracks but some times only about 2000 shows and need to refresh all to get ll the tracks in assetupnp console
    - sometimes there's no tracks at all: I have again to perform a refresh all

These problems happens in random way and I don't know what is causing such issues. Appreciate any help on this.

NB: I do have Twonky as well installed in the HP media server (included in the purhase) and may be it one of the cause. When streaming via twonky server I don't get the issues as for asset upnp.

Yes, all the files/tracks are located into HP Media Server EX 490 where Asset Upnp is installed as well.
Not sure what do you mean by asset to monitor, I presume is the audio library section under asset upnp "advanced settings"
The path is like this : \\myhp...\my music\
My music folder contains other folders where the files are located.

      Thanks for your assistance

you should reference them by drive, ie:

        d:

not a network share (even from the same device), because the network share can come and go, especially on startup, Asset will remove tracks it cannot find.

Where you specify the library location in Asset, click browse and browse to D: and locate the music folder.

Sorry, I still not get it. Even though, I have mapped the NAS as a drive I don't see it in asset library
I am not streaming from my computer but from a NAS. So, how to refer a drive ?

My miss understanding, if the HP runs Windows Home Server install asset on the NAS, otherwise disable the option in asset to automatically detect new tracks, this will allow the network share to disappear during restarts, then manually trigger scans when new tracks are added.
