I, as a LINN DS / SONOS reseller, and my clients, have followed your work for several years now and we have to say that Asset UPNP is Great and appart some details, I think that a big thing is missing, the possibility to use Asset on solutions with low power consumption, fastness and easy/efficient raid/hotswap management like QNAP/SYNOLOGY/NETGEAR/THECUS but those are running Linux.
A WHS server is still power hungry compared to those and the HDD managment is really poor, far from "safe" and easy...
On the other hand, it is not so "smart" to have to use a WHS or a computer as server with Asset and QNAP a.e. for the data storage, more money, consumption, less easyness :(
So is there any plan, any chance, that we could mix the best of both ? Have a good QNAP, TS-x59xx for example, and Assset on it ?
