How do you know when Asset has fully restarted?

I'm using Asset V4 running as a service on Windows XP and am playing about customizing the tree structure.

I make changes in the advanced settings, say yes to restart Asset, and am taken back to the configuration screen, the library status refreshes very quickly.

If I try and reconnect to Asset from BubbleDS I can get an error for several minutes, presumably until Asset has completed making the configuration changes.

Is there any way of telling from Windows that Asset is ready to accept connections?

    Thanks

Not really, as soon as it is ready it is able to accept external connections.
