    Asset 4, OPPO BDP-83 and hi-res flacs

I currently have 2 issues with Asset 4 and OPPO BDP-83.

To simplify, I have 1 album in my Asset library containing 12 24-bit, 192kHz tracks (flac).

All tracks play back fine on my PC with Asset Control/Winamp/foobar etc.

If I stream the tracks to my OPPO BDP-83, all tracks play back fine (192kHz displayed on Rotel processor) except tracks 03 and 10.

Track 03 plays back at wrong speed, sound is garbled (44.1kHz displayed on Rotel processor).

Track 10 does not play back at all, track is always skipped.

    Any ideas?

The oppo is decoding the flac, when it decodes it gets the audio info from the file, asset does not change the FLAC file unless you enable streaming.

I'm streaming to the OPPO using Asset 4, flac as LPCM (OPPO BDP-83 does not play flac files).

After further testing, I've got some more info.

I just tried using foobar UPnP as the DLNA audio server.

Track 03 plays back fine, no garbled sound, at 192kHz, so it looks like a bug in Asset 4.

Track 10 does not play back at all, track is always skipped as with Asset.

        Any more thoughts, anyone?

Try playing the asset served LPCM files using foobar as the player.

            OK, to summarise:

Asset UPnP server -> foobar client, files playback OK.
Asset UPnP server -> Asset Control client, files playback OK.
Asset UPnP server -> OPPO BDP-83 client, files playback OK except tracks 03 and 10 as described in post no. 1.

foobar UPnP server -> OPPO BDP-83 client files playback OK except track 10 as described in post no. 4.

Not sure where this leaves me though as OPPO have recommended I use foobar and not Asset as the DLNA server, but as you can see, neither are working for me.

Anyone suggest a bug free hi-res audio streaming solution?
