Why Difference Between CD Ripper & Asset for Tags

In an attempt to use one of the file tags for another purpose I was wondering why is there such a difference in the tags that are available to you via the CD Ripper (and when changing the file via the ID-Tag in properties) and those available to you in Asset when you want to create another containers. As an example I can create a "mood" tag when using CD Ripper but there's no option to create a "mood" container in Asset.

Is there an easy workaround given that I'm using some of the obvious tags that do exist in both programs e.g. "style". Thanks

mmm....just followed Spoon's guidelines but "mood" does not appear as an option to select for the container even though I have added it to the txt file. Have reloaded machine still same, using Asset v3

You have to add to the browse tree and to the database definition, then trigger a full rescan (refresh all).

Spoon....thanks, by database definition I take it you mean the "MediaDatabaseFieldsv3.txt" file stored in "Application Data\dBpoweramp\uMediaLibrary" - if so I have done so and triggered a full rescan. The problem is that although I can add a new container in the browse tree I can not edit the value of the new container to "mood" as it does not appear in the drop down list of values. I've tried this on both my test and live system - same result both times. I running XP (SP3) if that makes any difference at all and Asset running mode is "local account"

in program files with Asset.exe is uMediaLibrary-dumpdb.exe

run it and load the txt file into excel, it shows what is in the database, you are looking for a mood column, it should be populated.

yes the mood column exists and it is populated but still no option in the drop down menu (via advanced settings/edit) to select "mood" for the new container

There would not be an option in the drop menu, you can type what ever you like into that box.

Spoon, thanks very much, that's where I was going wrong - I was expecting to see "mood" in the drop down list. I've typed it in and everything working great.
