Re: drop out with hires flac
Problem fixed. I moved to the Power NAS with 8GB RAM, fast server hard disks, and V 4 of Asset (great!). There are no dropouts any more. But: during waiting for delivering of the Power NAS I moved back to my old, slow Netgear Ready NAS Duo. It played with no drop outs! What did I change? I use a couple of X10-House automation switches for my curtains. Every time I send an on/off command via these switches a short drop out in my Linn MDS is the consequence - that's ok for me. But one of them had a defect (and as I feel now, it sent signals via my electricity network leading to drop outs). After changing of this defect switch - no dropouts anymore. My learning: signals of the electricity network can lead to drop out with the Linn DS.
