Asset v3 Crash When Selecting "All Artists"

    Spoon,

When I select Artist/Album then [All Artists] Asset crashes and takes me back to my blu-ray player network screen. I have 4507 tracks and 293 albums. This function worked before. I created a small library of 10 tracks and Asset worked correctly with this small sample. Is it something to do with my library size or with the imbedded folders? I have the debug log if needed.

Is Asset Crashing, or is your player crashing? if you are able to rebrowse Asset without restarting asset, the fault lies in the player.

It is the Oppo BDP-83SE that is "aborting" the Asset application and returning to its network menu. The Oppo does not freeze as would indicate a "hard" crash. Asset does not crash at all.

I spent the next few hours playing with my tracks and folders. First I took a look at all the flac tags and they all seem in order. Then I placed various numbers of tracks into one or more folders, refreshed the library and then went to [All Artists]. At times the system kicked out to the Oppo network menu and at other times it worked properly. From what time I could spend, there seemed to be no distinct predictive pattern. It does not seem related to the number of tracks in a specific folder (and I don't know if the Oppo would even know or care about this). BTW my initial folder that wouldn't work with the Oppo had 1006 tracks in it. Browsing by first letter of artist works fine. Only the [All Artists] doesn't work. All files are 16/44.1.

Overall, this is a minor issue for me. I don't know if its the Oppo or Asset. I'll upgrade to v4 and use the advanced browsing features most likely.

Just some further info. One of the first tests I did was to split the 1006 tracks into two folders with approx. the same * of files. I refreshed the library with only these two folders and the [All Artists] did not work. However, I then refreshed the library with only folder A and then with folder B and both times the [All Artists] worked.
