HELP PLEASE! Not sure where to start re getting my NAS drive set up

Hi, I really hope someone can help... please....

I have a LINN DS, which I have been using a RipNas with, and all was going well. I then added an Iomega NAS drive to the network to add more hard drive space, and my upnp players (Kinsky desktop, Chorus etc) only recognise ' music' and then artist, abum or track as the search options... I realised I needed asset upnp software, but not sure how to do this. I have accessed the ripnas' built in WHS and tried to add the iomega NAS to it, but it doesn't recognise it. Could someone please tell me what I eed to do? Do I just buy the software, install it (on where??) (I use MAC and PC) and will I then be able to search by folders & files again from mac, pc, ipod, ipad etc??? Hope that makes sense... Thanks in advance!

You cannot install Asset on the iomega (the internal computer is quite limited in speed and memory).

You would have to set the iomega so it did not require passwords to access the music folders, then you can add those folders to the ripnas (in Asset on the configuration page) and Asset will add those tracks found on the iomega into its library.

Thanks. By any chance do you know how I would remove the password access from the iomega? Also... I bought the asset upnp software but it will not download... any thoughts??? Much appreciated,

I have never used an iomega so cannot comment on how you would set it up.
