    Advanced playlists

I have a registered Asset upnp and would like to how to get the top tracks playlist to work. I have asset installed on an Acer 340 WHS and access it mostly with Chorus ds hd, as well as other CP's for a Linn ds. The only playlist that works is the new albums/tracks. When i use the Qnap with twonky I get the most played, which I miss. I'm hoping there is some setting I'm missing.

There is a potential issue which stops this feature working on various systems, it is due to be looked at for R3.1

Is it possible to create own Playlists which are then posted in the Playlist section? I like to use Asset upnp with the Revox-System, therefore it should be possible to create own Playlists, maybe in .m3u ?

OK, I tried to find it, could only find the WHS-Manual and there is written:

Playlists item allows the selection of:

Jukebox Track Selection: a random selection of tracks (based on rating, ie the more popular tracks appear more than less popular tracks),
Previously Played Tracks: ordered list of last played tracks,
Recently Added...: last 100 tracks or albums added to the library,
Most Played...: tracks or albums with the highest play count,
Least Played...: 100 tracks or albums which have been played the least.

Not a word about the possibility of creating own playlists ??

Thanks for helping me out. Can you give me a download-link for the manual?

              Re: Advanced playlists

              The quick version is:

Click [Add Folder] (where Audio Library is) and choose a folder containing the playlists, change the 'Contains' item at the end of the newly added line to 'Playlists'

              Restart Asset

                      Hi again,

have been today to test the playlist. Its interesting. The playlist is shown, all titles are there, but when I press play, the Revox-System doesnt play them. The other playlists offered from Asset are playing.
I created the playlist using Winamp and stored the list in a folder in the Music-Folder at the Rip-NAS. Normally I use Netgear-NASes, where this is working. What should I do differently?

                      Thanks for helping me out.

Playlists give out the files as is, so test with some mp3 files to make sure it is not a file format issue.

Hi, I now just purchased asset upnp and installed it on my HomeServer to be able to test it at my place. It is not a question of file format. The Playlists are shown, but the tracks are not starting, when the user presses play.
With the free version of TVersity it is working. So I have a workaround, but not a solution for this problem, can you maybe give me another hint?

Hi, I installed Version 3.1 like described in the beta-Forum, but it didn`t bring me forward, I tested creating a .m3U Playlist with Winamp on another PC in the network and saved it on the WHS.

I restarted the WHS after installing, is this correct? In the WHS-Console there is shown Asset-UPnP Release 3

The Playlist is shown but nothing can be played. I only have MP3 in the list, no flac
