    Device recommendation

I am looking for a few recommendations for devices to use with Asset. I have ripped my CD collection to Flac on my PC using DBPoweramp. I would like a device which will install in my HT rack and connect to my processor using coax or optical digital for the PCM stream. The device should be able to decode Flac so I don’t have to transcode at the server. Wireless is not important. I am looking for something which will be less costly than the Squeezebox Touch.

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    Bob

WD Live? it is cheap...but you need a TV to control it (off the top of my head).

      >WD Live?<

I saw that, curious if you have had any experience with the WD Live?

Using Asset on my PC, flac files and WD live

      1) Will I be able to see the album art on my TV?

      2) Am I able to create playlists in Asset that can be selected from WD live?

      Thanks Bob

You mention the Touch, implying that something like this is what you're looking for, but cheaper. I see that the Squeezebox Duet is selling on Amazon for $200, $188 from partners. Not quite the sound quality of the Touch (no 24/96) but if you're playing ripped CDs the Receiver is a nice piece of kit. Both optical and coax outs. I think it's a bargain at the price.

Although I see the Touch is going for $290 at the moment.
