Artist/Album sorted by release date?

It is probably very easy but I cannot figure out how to do it: how can I have Artist/Album, or equivalent, show me an artist's albums sorted by release date instead of alphabetically?

How come I do not have that option? Only Album by Release there. I have the lates Asset (in trial). Should I reinstall it?

Sorry I muddled the options, there is Album by Release (which could be put inside an 'Artist' folder), and 'Album by Artist'

Thanks, I'll try playing with that. Is there a way to get "By Release" to sort from oldest to newest?

Two questions.
1. What exactly do "album by artist" do?

2. Is it possible to configure Asset something like this? Would be the ultimate sorting for me!
Artists by letters A-Z,
under each letter all albums are shown by that letter's artists - for example under "A" all albums by ABBA, AC/DC and Alison Krauss are shown side by side (and possibly also sorted by release date from oldest to newest) - That would be great to do!

OK, I got "Album by artist" to work, but only when "A-Z" is NOT checked. If I check that box, all albums get sorted by the first letter in the album title instead of the artist's first letter. A possible bug?

Would this sorting be possible with "Artist -Album title" shown in the control point?

Also, it would be nice to mix "album by artist" with "album by release". And "A-Z".:p

You are finding limitations where the special selection modes with built in sorting cannot be combined with other items.
