    compilation CD's

    Hi,

I'm a very happy RIPNAS owner after a lot of issues with other Twonky OS NAS devices.

Now I do have a small issue. Some of my compilation CD's show up as 2 or 3 separate albums. The symptom isn't consistent. I've made sure the album name's for all the tracks are 100% the same (using Mp3tag). However, the issue isn't solved.

    Any suggestions?

You need to make sure they have a compilation tag set to "1", but the tag name might be something different in mp3tag. Or you can set the "album artist" to the same value for all tracks on the album.

The current version of MP3Tag has 'COMPILATION' as an available tag, although earlier versions didn't.

I have the same issue, have ripped CD's with WMP 11, but it won't stream under XP to my NaimUniti, so am using Asset , however I cannot find the settings for compilation tags in either Asset or WMP 11. Have tried Tversity and Twonky, same issue. Do I need to re-rip the CD's using different software? Any advice appreciated.

If you have dBpoweramp Music Converter installed, select all the files of the compilation album, right click on one >> Edit ID-Tags then '+ Add' a new Tag and change the name to compilation, set the value to 1 and it is done.

Ah, ok - didn't realise that as I only use MP3Tag on FLAC files, and COMPILATION has only recently appeared in the program.
